Albert Dros
Born in Amersfoort, the Netherlands in 1985, Albert Dros has emerged as a distinguished photographer, celebrated for his fairytale portrayal of landscapes and urban vistas. His work, characterised by a rich palette and striking contrasts, bears the hallmark of his unique aesthetic. His portfolio with its spectacular images spans the globe, yet it’s the images of the Netherlands that resonate deeply with him as he endeavours to encapsulate the soul of his beloved homeland with fervent dedication. Albert is inspired by the old Dutch master painters, and some even call him ‘a new Dutch master’.
Whether he’s photographing the misty forests of his home country, the alien landscapes of Iceland, or the serene beauty of Kyrgyzstan, each image is carefully crafted to evoke emotion and wonder. His signature style often involves meticulous planning and timing, waiting patiently—sometimes for years—for the perfect conditions to finally capture the shot he envisioned.
Albert’s artistic journey has garnered international acclaim, securing him accolades across the globe. His photographic masterpieces grace the pages high end publications, including the esteemed National Geographic, Lonely Planet, Time, CNN and many more. Beyond the printed word, he has forged creative partnerships with iconic brands such as Sony, Adobe and Timberland.
Driven by a relentless desire to explore and create, Albert Dros continues to push the boundaries of landscape photography. His images don’t just depict nature—they celebrate it, inviting viewers to pause, dream, and reconnect with the world in its most magical moments.
iurie belegurschi
is a renowned landscape photographer, the founder of Iceland Photo Tours and co-founder of Guide to Iceland. Born in Moldova, he developed a passion for travel and photography at a young age, which ultimately inspired him to move to Iceland.
With hard work and dedication, Iurie has realised his ambition for sharing the many wonders that Iceland has to offer with passionate photographers from around the world. Over the years, he has built a team of professional photography guides, offering expertise and tours to some of the country’s most famous locations, even in the harshest of conditions. He firmly believes that his best moments in photography have been the most challenging. It is this experience that he hopes will embolden photographers who have travelled from afar to test their skills in the Land of Fire and Ice.
With a diverse portfolio covering all the regions of Iceland, Iurie’s photography has garnered worldwide attention, earning him features in The Daily Mail, The Independent, The Huffington Post and The Telegraph. He has exhibited his work both domestically and abroad, using his platform to draw attention to the need for the human race to protect Mother Nature.
Having spent vast amounts of time capturing Iceland’s glaciers and seasonal ice caves, Iurie has witnessed the environmental impact of global warming upon the country’s fragile ecosystem. As such, he is uniquely qualified to raise awareness of how climate change will not only affect us but every living thing on this planet.
